Overview
Quick Elements gives you one place to launch and run your website. The control panel manages the website itself, its domains, who can work on it, and the AI allowance used by the Page Builder.
Day-to-day editing happens in one focused workspace. Open Websites to manage the site, then choose Edit to work on its pages, components, media, forms, and analytics.
The short version
Name your website, pick its web address, and choose a design. We build it as soon as the address is ready, which takes about two minutes. When it shows Live, choose Edit and start shaping the site.
Launch checklist
A new website moves through a few short steps, and the setup page walks you through each one:
- Name it. Use your business name, or whatever visitors should see at the top of your site.
- Pick its web address. Get a new one (if your plan includes one, we register it for you at no charge), or use one you already own.
- Choose a design. Pick the one closest to what you want. Every word, picture and colour can change later.
- Connect the address. An address bought elsewhere needs two settings changed where you bought it. The setup page shows exactly which.
- Go live. We build your website as soon as its address leads here, in about two minutes. Then open the editor and make it yours.
You can stop at any point and pick up where you left off. Your dashboard shows how far along each website is.

Create a website
Your first website is set up straight after you choose a plan. For another one, choose New website on your dashboard. Either way, the setup page asks for a name first; you can change it later on the website's page.
Templates
Templates are complete starting points with ready-made pages, reusable components, a matching header and footer, and site-wide styling. Pick the closest match for your business and change anything after launch.
You can change the design as often as you like while the website is being set up. Once it is live, choosing a different design starts the website over with a fresh copy of it, so you are asked to confirm first, and what is on the site is saved before it starts over.
Before switching a live template
A template change is a site reset, not a visual preview. Finish small design changes in the Page Builder instead.
Build & go live
Building puts your chosen design online at your address. It starts on its own as soon as the website has a design and its address leads here, so there is no button to press, and it takes about two minutes.
It runs in the background. You can close the page and come back later. When the website shows Live, its Edit button is ready.
If a build goes wrong, the setup page says so and offers Try again. Once a website is live, Start over on its page replaces everything on it with a fresh copy of its design; use it only when you mean to begin again.
Edit your site
Open the website and choose Edit. Quick Elements signs you in and opens the site workspace without making you handle a separate login each time.
The left side of the workspace moves between Pages, Components, Media, Forms, Form entries, and Analytics. The exact sections can vary by site and by your role. Use the website switcher at the top when you work on more than one site.
For a full tour of the editor, AI assistant, forms, analytics, and SEO tools, read the Page Builder documentation.
Website status
- Not online yet means the website is still being set up.
- Building means it is being built, or started over.
- Live means anyone can visit it and you can edit it.
- Needs attention means a build stopped and needs to be tried again.
- Paused means the live site has been paused.
The Dashboard collects anything that needs a look under Needs attention, so you do not have to check every website separately.
Domains
Add or register a domain
Open Domains and choose Add domain. There are two paths:
- I already own one adds a domain registered with another provider. You keep it at that provider and update its DNS records there.
- Register a new one checks the name is free. If your plan includes a domain and you pick one of its endings, we register it for you straight away at no charge; any other is paid for at our secure checkout.
You can give the domain to a website straight away or leave it unused until later. A domain can only be a website's main address once it belongs to that website.
Verify ownership
A domain you already own starts as Not confirmed yet. Its page, and your website's setup page, give you one setting to add where you bought it (a TXT record). Add it, wait a few minutes, then choose Check my settings.
This proves the domain is yours; it does not send visitors to the site. That is the separate step below. Domains registered through Quick Elements are confirmed automatically. Until someone proves a domain is theirs, adding it does not stop anyone else from adding it too, so whoever really owns it can always connect it.
Connect DNS
The setup page and the domain's page show the exact settings to add. Add every one so your bare address, the www address, and other subdomains all lead to your website, and delete the old settings for @ and www so none of them still lead to your old site.
There are step-by-step instructions for Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy and everywhere else beside the settings. Most providers will not take a CNAME for the bare address: Namecheap uses an ALIAS record there instead, GoDaddy an A record with the number shown, and others may call it ANAME. If Cloudflare manages the domain, leave its proxy switched off.
Changes often show up within minutes but can take up to an hour. We check every minute and build your website as soon as the address leads here, so you can close the page while you wait.
Main addresses
A website's main address is the one it is built on and that visitors see. Each website has one main address and can have any number of others.
Open a domain to move it to another website or make it the main address. Doing so takes that label off the website's previous main address.
People & access
Collaborators
Collaborators work through the Quick Elements control panel. On a website's Manage page, the owner can share access with an existing Quick Elements user by entering the email address on that account.
Sharing is per website. Someone can edit one site, view another, and have no access to the rest of your account. Only the owner can add or remove collaborators, build or start over the site, or delete it.
Roles explained
- A website owner controls sharing, building, and the website itself.
- A Quick Elements editor can change the website and work in its editing tools.
- A Quick Elements viewer can see the website's control-panel information but cannot change it.
Automatic site access
Collaborators enter the editing workspace through Quick Elements and are signed into the website automatically. No separate site password is needed.
Account
AI token usage
Your website's AI assistant uses your account's weekly token allowance. The Dashboard shows the current total, and AI tokens breaks usage down by website and shows when the week starts again.
What the assistant writes counts in full. What it reads, such as your page and the chat so far, counts at a tenth of that, because it looks back over them at every step of a bigger job.
Need more before then? Buy a top-up from the pricing page. Top-up tokens are added to your account and used once the week's allowance runs out, and they don't expire.
Usage on a shared website is billed to that website's owner. Collaborators can work on the site without moving its AI usage to their own account.
Profile & security
Open Profile settings from the account menu to change your name, sign-in email, or password.
Turn on two-factor verification to require a code when a sign-in comes from a new location. Verified locations are remembered for a limited time, and you can forget all of them at once if a device is lost or you want every location checked again.
The code comes by email unless you set up an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Choose Set up an authenticator app under two-factor verification, scan the code with your phone, and enter the number the app shows. From then on your sign-in codes come from the app, and you can still ask for one by email if you don't have your phone.
Inbox & Cloud
Inbox opens your mail workspace, while Cloud opens your file and shared-storage workspace. Both live inside the signed-in Quick Elements experience, so you can move between your sites, mail, and files from the same header.
Help
Troubleshooting
- The website hasn't been built yet: open its setup page. It says what is still needed, which is usually the address leading here.
- We can't see the first setting: compare its name and value character for character, then wait a little longer for the change to show up.
- The address still leads somewhere else: check every setting in step 2 matches, and that the old ones for
@andwwware gone. - The Edit button is missing: the website must be live. A website that has just gone live can take a few more minutes before it opens.
- A teammate cannot be added: collaborators must already have a Quick Elements account with the exact email address you enter.

If a setup step still will not complete, tell us the website or domain name, the status shown in the control panel, and what you expected to happen. Never send a password, API key, verification code, or other secret.
