Use a coupon when you want to offer a set discount, a percentage off, or free shipping. Here is how to create one.
Access the Coupon Section:
- In your Quick Elements dashboard, go to Shop > Coupons
- Click “Add coupon” to create a new discount
Set Up Basic Coupon Details:
- Enter a coupon code (e.g., SUMMER20)
- Add a description (optional, for internal use)
- Choose the discount type:
- Percentage discount
- Fixed cart discount
- Fixed product discount
Configure Discount Amount:
- Enter the discount amount (percentage or fixed amount)
Set Usage Restrictions:
- Minimum spend
- Maximum spend
- Individual use only (can’t be used with other coupons)
- Exclude sale items
- Allowed emails (limit to specific customers)
Product Restrictions:
- Apply coupon to specific products or categories
- Exclude specific products or categories
Usage Limits:
- Limit usage to X times
- Limit to one use per customer
Set Expiry Date (optional):
- Choose a start date and/or expiration date for the coupon
Save and Publish:
- Click “Publish” to make the coupon active
Remember, while discounts can drive sales, they also affect your margins. Always calculate the potential impact on your bottom line before launching a promotion.
